GLORIA MAXINE YEAGER

April 25, 1926 — February 5, 2016

Gloria Maxine (Chase) Yeager 89, of Medina, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Sanctuary Medina LLC (Medina Village). Gloria was born April 25, 1926 in Rittman, the daughter of the late Harry William and Edna Ceola (Rauschenberg) Chase. On November 6, 1943 she married Robert Paul Yeager.

Gloria retired from GTE with over 35 years of service “of keeping things together”.
She was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational. She loved the many trips that Dad and her took out West (better known as “God’s Country”). She had a great interest in the history of the Native Americans and had collected many of their artwork. She was a great cook and baker, no one ever left hungry when they visited. She had a very devout love of nature and animals, never able to turn away a stray dog or cat, she gave each and everyone a happy and healthy life. Most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and made many sacrifices for us all. There is so many wonderful things that Mom did for so many.

Gloria will be dearly missed by her children and their spouses, Rodney Allan (Joan Kay) of Columbus, Jason Mathew (April Nockleby) of Sebastopol, CA, Katherine Lynn (Galen) Murray of Medina; grandchildren, Chad (Rosegen), Ryan, Joshua, Stefanie (Dennis); great- grandchildren, Alicia, Belen, Aela, Carly, Colin and Ian, also many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Paul (1999); son, David William (1979); brothers, Derrill Chase, Harold Chase and sister, Jean (Chase) Leach.

A special thank you to Judy, Mark and Jenna for your support, you were very special to her. In addition, the family extends their sincere thanks to the staff of Sanctuary Medina LLC (Medina Village) and Crossroads Hospice for the exceptional care that was given to our Mom.

In lieu of flowers, Gloria would appreciate donations be made to the Medina County SPCA, 8970 Guilford Road, Seville, OH. 44273.

A Graveside Service has taken place. Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio 44256 were entrusted with her wishes.
