GORDON ALLEN BRAIN

Gordon Allen Brain, age 77, of Medina, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019. He was born on January 23, 1941 in Cleveland, OH to the late Alfred and Helen (nee Schmidt) Brain.
Gordon joined the US Navy in January 1960. He was a 22-year member of American Legion. He worked in the publishing industry at Penton Press in Berea, OH for over 25 years.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Brenda (nee Pellas); his children, Lori (Dave) Brain, Gary (Tonya) Brain, Lesa (Patrick) Pierson, Scot (Yuko) Brain, Eric (Faith) Tanko, Cheryl (Kevin) Snell; siblings, Bill (Janet) Brain, Carol Lorig, Shirley (Robert) Cates, Helen Krasowski; sister-in-law, Deloris Brain; and 15 loving grandchildren.
In addition to Gordon’s parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kaye Don, Alfred Jr., and Kenneth Brain; stepsons, Bryan and Daniel Tanko.
Friends and relatives may call on the family during a time of visitation for Gordon on Sunday, January 27, 2019, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Gordon on Monday, January 28, 10:00 AM at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 3100 Old Weymouth Rd, Medina, OH 44256. There will be a visitation one hour prior to Mass (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brookpark, OH.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Gordon’s name to Holy Martyrs Catholic Church or United Service Organizations (USO).
