GREGORY MARHEVKA

Gregory Marhevka, age 72, of Brunswick, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. He was born on June 21, 1949, in Cleveland to Joseph and Helen (nee Bistricky) Marhevka.

He proudly served in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Gregory was a member of the Brunswick VFW 9520, Medina Vietnam Veterans, International Association of Fire Fighters, and Scouts of America. He loved gardening, tinkering around in the house, being the all-around handyman, coaching little league baseball, baseball umpiring, and playing cards with his friends and family. He was very active within his church, ushering and altar servers.

Gregory will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Carol; loving children, Charles (Alyssa) and Thomas (Jenna Click); nieces, Lauren (Tony) Ventura, Linda (Milan) Atanaskovic, Kristina Carberry, and Nicole (Andrew) Laursen; sister-in-law, Geraldine (Jeffrey, dec.), and his grand dogs.

In addition to his parents, Gregory was proceeded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and George Stibora.

Friends may join the family for visitation for Gregory on Friday, August 20, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd., (1/2 mile south of Route 303), Brunswick, Ohio. Panachida Service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 9 AM in the funeral home. Mass will follow at 10 AM in St Emilian Byzantine Catholic Church, 1231 Substation Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212.
