City:Nelson TownshipVisitation Details:Calling hours are 10 AM to 12 PM on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at the funeral home.Service Details:Funeral services will be at 12 PM on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at the funeral home.Photo: Obituary:Gregory Allen Tate Sr., 48, of Garrettsville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 20, 2011. He was born December 15, 1962 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Raymond and Anna Louise (Adkins) Tate. Greg was a machinist at Kraftmaid. He was an avid Ohio State, Browns and Indians fan. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, spending time with his beloved family and friends, and his granddaughter. Greg is survived by his wife, Sandra (Walls) whom he married July 30, 1984; children, Gregory Jr. and Michael both of Nelson and Jennifer (fiancé, Eric Cleavenger) of Freedom; brothers, John of Nelson and Clifford of Warren; grandchild, Kesra of Lancaster; nephews, Kaden and Brian Boggs; niece, Tiffany Boggs; and special pet, “Bella.” He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Richard, Thomas, and Brian. Calling hours are 10 AM to 12 PM on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231. Funeral services will follow at 12 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Dreama Adkins officiating. Burial will be at Harrington Cemetery, Nelson Township.
