Harold A. Tonstad

Photo: Obituary: Harold Arno Tonstad, 85 of Orlando, FL, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. He was born August 12, 1927 in St. Paul, MN to Anton and Georgine (nee Spansbull) Tonstad. Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. He was an avid golfer and earned an electrical engineering degree from St. Paul University in Minnesota. He devoted his life to teaching and never said an unkind word about anyone. Harold enjoyed living in Florida for his final years and loved walking around the lake and hanging out in the evenings with his grandson, Matthew. They were best friends. Harold was truly loved and will be missed by his Son, Erik Lynn and Grandchildren; Kristen Renee Tonstad- Pennybacker, Matthew Andrew, and Heather Nicole; and Great Grandchild Kinsley Pennybacker. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Nancy Carol. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, from 6:00-8:00PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick, OH. Interment will be held Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 11:00AM at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
