Harry James Hotchkiss, 87 of Brunswick passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. He was born September 28,1922 in Cleveland to Frank and Marie (nee Chabek) Hotchkiss and was retired from Great Lakes Construction.
Mr. Hotchkiss was a World War II veteran, a member of the VFW in Brunswick and Valley City, a member of Local 860, he enjoyed bowling, golfing, was an avid gardener and loved Florida.
Mr. Hotchkiss is survived by his daughters Jean Brown, Joyce (Jay) Parks; sons James (Jean) Hotchkiss and Jeffrey (Patricia) Hotchkiss; sisters Marie and Marion; brothers Art and Les; grandchildren Sheryl Plona, Michael (Jill) Brown, Genna (William) Steitz, Mandy Hotchkiss, James Hotchkiss, Janene (Thomas) Sesti, Megan (Thomas) Peters and Andrea Hotchkiss; 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marie F. (nee Kennedy); parents Frank and Marie (nee Chabek); brothers Howard and Gene; and granddaughter Tracy Hotchkiss.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memory Gardens.
