HARRY "SONNY" A. MOORE

Harry “Sonny” A. Moore, Sr., 89, of Windham, OH, formerly of Streetsboro, OH, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, September 25, 2024. He was born June 5, 1935, in Somerset PA, to the late John and Birdinia (nee Hasenpflug) Moore.

He moved to Windham, OH, where he’s lived for the past 46 years. Sonny worked for the Solon School System as a custodial supervisor before retiring. He loved to fish, hunt, travel, and most of all, to spend time with his family and friends.

Sonny will be deeply missed by his loving children, Janetta Ress, Howard (Robbin) Moore, Birdinia (Lawrence) Ress, Harry (Michele) Moore, Jr., Pauline (Aaron) Ocamringa, and Tammy (Mark) Bozic; 21 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchild; siblings, Ida (Phil) Everman, Ada (Ronnie) Eagle, Katherine Sayer, and Richard (Debbie) Moore, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 11 siblings; granddaughter, Kelly Sawyer, and partner-in-crime, Maxine McCumber.

Please join the family for a visitation Tuesday, October 1, 2024, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Terry Carpenter officiating. Sonny will then be taken to Windham Twp., Cemetery in Windham Twp., OH, where he will be lovingly laid to rest next to his beloved, Maxine.
