Harvey Lee Simms, 72 of Perry Township, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Harvey was born February 11, 1940 in West Virginia. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Machine Repairman at Chrysler. Harvey enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Harvey is survived by his devoted wife Brenda; children Scott (Lisa) of Parkman and Sam (Kim) of Phoenix, Arizona; sister Nina (Jack) Dolin of Knoxville, Tennessee and grandchildren, Kyle, Ty, and Rachel.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Janet (Allison) Simms and grandson Cody.
Calling hours are 6-8 PM on Monday, August 6, 2012 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Overlook Cemetery in Parkman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Harvey’s name be made to the Parkman Youth League, c/o Mike Peters, 17045 Old State Rd., Middlefield, Ohio 44062.
