HAZEL I. SINGLETON

Hazel Irene Singleton, 99, went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 1, 2021, with her loving family at her side. She was born August 21, 1922, in Sutton, WV to the late Steve and Nora (nee Wallace) Shaver.

She had 5 sisters, one brother, and 2 half-brothers, all of whom are deceased. She was married to Jay Singleton on November 23, 1945, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Windham Church of the Nazarene for over 55 years, serving as Sunday School Teacher for nursery through juniors, as well as Missionary Treasurer, Sunday School Treasurer, and Steward.

Hazel will be deeply missed by her loving children, David (Gail) Singleton, Susan (Richard) Berg, and Lisa (James) O'Malley; grandchildren, Brian, Kyle, Meagan, Jordan, Jenn, Tyler, Becca, Sam, Nick, Eryn, and Amy; 16 Great-grandchildren, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Jay, in 1982; 5 sisters, 1 brother, and 2 half-brothers.

Please join the family for a visitation to honor Hazel's life on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St. Garrettsville. The funeral service will begin 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Drakesburg Cemetery, Freedom Township, where Hazel will be laid to rest beside her beloved Jay.
