HEINZ A. HORNBERGER

Heinz A. Hornberger, 92, of Brunswick, passed away October 12, 2016. He was born September 28, 1924 in Königsberg, Germany to the late Albert and Frieda (nee Wilhelm) Hornberger.
Heinz enjoyed spending time with his family, swimming in the ocean, and loved to cook. He also liked fishing and camping.
He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 61 years, Renate; dear children, Thomas (Bridget) Hornberger, Susanne (Kenneth) Baca, Ilene (Don) Jesse, Irene (Gary) Filbin; cherished grandchildren, Brittany Baca, Kenny (Emily-fiancé) Baca; Lauren E. Jesse, Noah Jesse, Erich Jesse, Olivia Jesse, Isabella Jesse, Emily Filbin; great grandchildren, Oliver, and Madelyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Horst and Kurt.
Friends may join the family for visitation Monday, October 17, 2016 from 5 until 8 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick, OH 44212. A Funeral Service will take place at 7:00 pm with Reverend Dennis Murawski officiating.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Willowood Care Center for their wonderful care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Heinz to Medina County SPCA, 8790 Gulford Road, Seville, OH 44273.
