Helen Louise Stewart (nee Gerenday), age 87, of Brunswick, passed away on June 29, 2015. She was born on June 30, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Andrew and Mabel (nee Kugler) Gerenday.
Helen's passion was her family. She is survived by her children, Doug (Nancy Diane), James (Nancy Carol), Richard (Joann), Robert, David (Therese), Louise, and Michele (Duane); fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 53 years, Gordon; brothers, Donald and John; and sister, Audean.
Her interests included cooking, sewing, needlepoint, crosswords and word search puzzles. She was a loving and nurturing woman who held her family dearest to her heart. They truly are the best 'trophy' she ever received. She was always the first one to cheer on her family and took great pride in sharing the stories of each of her children’s, grand children’s and great grandchildren’s accomplishments. Her joy and unique way of lavishing her family in handmade items, always handpicked and designated specifically for each one, will be missed. A true family woman, loyal, faithful, generous and loving.
