Herbert C. Jamison, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the age of 88 in his home in Medina Township. He was born in Greensboro, Pennsylvania on July 8, 1929 to Charles Vernon and Josephine (Smith) Jamison. He served as a United States Marine during the Korean War as a Mechanic.
In 1952 he married the lovely Martha S. Baran of Smilno, Slovakia. Until His official retirement at the age of 65 he worked as a Tool and Die Maker for others until he and his brother Charles started Jamison Manufacturing in 1974. Herbert loved gardening, working outside and classic antique cars. Herbert and Martha shared the love of Polka music and dancing.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Martha; their 5 children, Diana Marsh (Frederick-deceased), Jeffrey (Robin) Jamison, Kathy (Neil) Plubell, Debra (Robert) Holmes and Donna (Bobby) Sillanpaa; grandchildren, David Sutton, Derrick (Christina) Marsh, Jessica (Jim) Hissem, Rachel (Jeff) Cunningham, Benjamin Foster, Jared Sillanpaa, Lacey (Delvin) Carfley, Breanna Plubell, Hannah Sillanpaa, Chloe Sillanpaa, Kevin (Amanda) Holmes, Natalie and Kimberly Holmes, also his great- grandchildren, Isabelle and Sarah Carfley, Adaline Clifton, Grant Brion, Quincy and Clark Cunningham.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx & Rt. 18), Medina, Ohio 44256. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to Mass at the church. Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Holy Martyrs Church, 3100 Old Weymouth Road, Medina, Ohio 44256. (please meet at the church). Burial to follow in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
