HERBERT BRUCE OLMSTEAD

Herbert Bruce Olmstead, 89 of Parkman, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. He was born April 29, 1925 in Parkman, Ohio to Herbert I. and Fannie Olmstead. Herbert served our in the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from Johnson Rubber where he was a tool and die maker. Herbert enjoyed traveling, reading, jigsaw puzzles, model airplanes and mowing the yard on his tractor.

Herbert is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Theresa Fortuna; caring in-laws Susie Mason, Dan Fortuna and Nancy Ray; and was the beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bernard, Carl, Bert, Wanda and Ruth.

Calling hours are 11 AM to 12:00 Noon on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231 where funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM. with Rev. D. Greg Ebie officiating. Burial will follow at Overlook Cemetery in Parkman.
