Horace Turner, 88, of Albany, Ohio, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021, at his residence. He was born March 5, 1933, in Cleveland, the son of the late Herman and Laura Williams Turner.
He was proud to have served his country in the United States Army, and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Horace retired from the GM Motor Company.
He is survived by his daughter Laura (George) Nowicki of Albany, sons Randy Galloway and Gary Farmer of Georgia, and his grandchildren Christine Mickovic, Sherry Turner, Kevin Galloway, Rob Turner, Kelly Turner and Brianna Nowicki.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Nancy Carpenter Turner, his son Robert Turner, and six siblings.
Friends may join the family for a Memorial Visitation for Horace on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm with a Memorial Funeral Service following the visitation at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Rd., (corner of Rt 18 and River Styx Rd.), Medina, Ohio.
A Graveside Service with full military honors, for Horace, will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Westlawn Cemetery 3991 St. Route 82 Mantua, Ohio, Pastor Jim Turner officiating
