IRENE JULIA HARTY

Irene Julia Harty (nee Streibel), age 85, of Medina, passed away on August 29, 2019. She was born on December 4, 1933, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Frank and Anna (nee Neczypor) Streibel.

Irene was a talented artist whose drawings and acrylic works were very realistic. She was known to be a good cook and was very independent. Irene grew up in Cleveland, and later moved to New Jersey after college graduation. She moved back to Medina 12 years ago. One of Irene's favorite pastimes was going on outings with her senior group from Holy Martyrs Catholic Church in Medina, where she was an active member.

She will be dearly missed by her children, David, Dale, Jennifer (Robert) Vail; sister, Nancy (Ray) Luthy; grandchildren, Kenneth (Nicole), Richard (Samantha), Nickolas (Kari), Michael (Julia), Peter; great grandchildren, Ethan, Zoey, Nia, Damyn, Emma, Levi; her aunt Kay Kroupa (100 Years Young!); her uncle and aunt, Bill (Marie) Neczypor; her nephews and their families; her many cousins; and her dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Irene on September 14, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 3100 Weymouth Rd, Medina, OH 44256. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services.
