Jack Donald Wagers, 87, of Garrettsville, passed away surrounded by his loving family on April 18, 2017. He was born on February 26, 1930 in Clark, Ohio to George Calvin and Mary Elizabeth (Kaser) Wagers. Jack married the love of his life, Bonnie Jean Michel, on December 5, 1954.
He worked as a Supervisor for AT&T and retired after 30 years. He was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Garrettsville United Methodist Church for 43 years, the Garrettsville Masonic Lodge #246 and the AT&T Pioneers. Jack enjoyed being a pilot and a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, attending his grandkids sporting events and was an avid Cleveland sports fan. He cherished spending time with his beloved family and friends.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; children, Cindy (Ed) Crosby of Madison, Sherri (Gary) Culp of Warren and Brady (Missy) Wagers of Ravenna; sister, Audrey Rottman of California; grandchildren, Rob, Ryan, Todd, Christopher, Gregory, Caitlyn and Tyler and great grandchildren, Brendan, Nicholas, Amanda, Brantley and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Darryl and brother, Leland.
Private family visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Garrettsville, Ohio. Burial will be held in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio at a later date.
