Jacob "Jack" DeSalvo, 95, of Windham, went home to his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. He was born on November 20, 1926, in Clearfield, PA, to the late Nick and Lucy (nee Alexandro) DeSalvo.
He was a devoted member of St. Michael's Church, then St. Ambrose's Church, and also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus; Jack gave much of his time serving the Lord and the Church. He was a member of the United States Navy and served in WWII and the Korean War. Jack was an avid bowler for 60 years while also playing in softball leagues well into his 80's. His greatest joys in life were spending time with his devoted wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For many years Jack prided himself on frying the best fish around for his family and friends each and every summer. He was a devoted season ticket holder for Penn State Football for many years. Jack passed on his love for Penn State Football to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will always fondly think their beloved "Pop-pop" every game.
Jack will be deeply missed by his children, Larry (Joan) DeSalvo, Jack (Linda) DeSalvo, and Carol (Mike) Dye; grandchildren; Amy (Adit Nathan) DeSalvo, Sam (Angela) DeSalvo, Becky (Jeremy) Eastman, Sarah Dye, Adrienne DeSalvo, Lori (Kris) Wilster, and Chad (Amanda) Dye; great- grandchildren, Kaitlin, Logan, Parker, Jacob, Cooper, Cambrie, Quinn, Cameron, Regan, Lia, Asha, Samuel, Aryana, Nora, Maren, and Reagan; brother, Vince (Rita) DeSalvo, sister-in-law, Martha (John) Decker, and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; dear wife, Eleanor; brothers; Frank DeSalvo and Tony DeSalvo, and his sister, Grace DiBattista.
