JACQUES CARSON LEVERETTE

Jacques Carson Leverette, age 62 of Medina, passed away on June 12, 2024.

Jacques was born on September 9, 1961, in London, England to Homer and Barbara (Brown) Leverette. Jacques moved around as a child because his father was in the Marine Corp but enjoyed spending part of his childhood in Panama the most. His parents and friends lovingly called him “Jocko” when he was younger. He graduated from Hackett High School in Kalamazoo Michigan and then went on to Western Michigan University where he received his bachelor’s degree. Jacques worked as a nursing home administrator for over 20 years, most recently at the Medina Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. He loved interacting with the nursing home residents and would sometimes even drive them to doctor’s appointments. He was well loved and respected by his co-workers. He enjoyed golfing, camping, and fishing. Jacques loved playing Trivial Pursuit during family night. He was a selfless and caring man who will be missed by many. Jacques had a wonderful sense of humor and would leave comical post-it notes for his wife over the years. He was very gregarious, a social butterfly, and enjoyed being with others.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Homer (Hank) Leverette.

Jacques will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 38 years, Diane Doute-Leverette, sons, Colin Leverette and Cody Leverette, faithful companion, Jo Jo, brother, Al Leverette, and father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Nancy Doute.

Friends and family may come to call on June 21, 2024, from 3-5 p.m. with a memorial service following at 5 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 3477 Medina Road, Medina (Corner of River Styx and Route 1).
