James Bray, 80, of Garrettsville, Ohio passed away on May 2, 2015. Jim was born at Trumbull Memorial Hospital on June 17, 1934. Jim graduated from Mineral Ridge High School in 1952. Jim spent 4 years, active duty, in the U.S. Navy. He was a licensed barber and a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Institute.
Over the years, he worked as a barber, a carpenter, a security guard at the Ravenna Arsenal and a painter at Sea World of Ohio.
Jim loved the water, boats, airplanes and cars. Last summer, he and Sandy enjoyed their 50th wedding anniversary surrounded by all their children and grandchildren. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. During his retirement, he enjoyed visiting with friends at the Garrettsvillle McDonald’s.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Vandenboon) of Garrettsville; his children, Jami (Gary) Mirka of Iowa; Dan (April) Bray of Reynoldsburg and Dave (Angela) Bray of Springfield, IL; and grandchildren, Taylor, Blair, Makenzie, Austin, Shepard, Brandon, Alana, and Spencer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Ruth (Craver) Bray.
