JAMES BROOKS

James Brooks, age 85, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 15, 2022. He was born on February 10, 1937, in Cleveland to John and Jane (nee Barshick) Brooks.

He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. James avidly cheered on his favorite football teams and the Cleveland Indians. His family was most precious to James, spending as much time as he could with them.

James will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Bertha; his daughter, Carolyn Brooks-Robertson; granddaughter, Olivia; siblings, Mary Jane Rognone, Joyce (Richard) Abramowski, and Joseph (Carolanne) Brooks; and his furry friend, Smokie. He was a beloved uncle, great uncle, and great great uncle to many.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ronald Rognone; and sister-in-law, Mary Alice Brooks.

Please join the family for a Memorial Visitation for James on Monday, October 24, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd., (1/2 mile south of Route 303), Brunswick, Ohio. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 PM. Interment will be scheduled at a later date in Ohio Western Reserve.
