JAMES R. GOODSELL SR.

James R. Goodsell, Sr., of Richfield, formerly of Nelson Township, 85, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, on March 24, 1937, to the late Earl and Grace Goodsell.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a lifetime NRA supporter. He was a graduate of Hiram College, and he loved to fly, play golf, and spend time with his grandchildren. Jim really enjoyed to garden, as he did since he was a young man growing up in Nelson Township.
Jim will be deeply missed by his children, Jim (Ginger) Goodsell, Jr. and Albert (Anita) Goodsell; grandchildren, Alexander Goodsell and Mariah (Brandon) Bebsz; brother, Earl (Rita) Goodsell, as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Goodsell, and son, David Goodsell.
There will be a Graveside service for Jim on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 11:00 A.M., at Harrington Cemetery, Hopkins Rd., Garrettsville, OH 44231, where he will be laid to rest by his beloved wife and son. Services for Jim were entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
