James “Jim” Holiday of Medina passed away on Friday, September 18th surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 15, 1948, in Lorain, Ohio to the late Frank and Stella (nee Stawicki) Holiday.
Jim served in the United States Air Force. He was employed as a Millwright at US Steel in Lorain for over 39 years. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Medina. Jim was a member of the United Steelworkers Union #1104 and also a member of the Genealogy Society. He enjoyed painting, drawing, studying family genealogy, hunting, fishing and bowling.
Jim will be dearly missed by his wife Helen (nee Abels); beloved children, Christopher Holiday, Natalie Holiday, Michelle Holiday Crandall, Dian Putman and Steven Heider; cherished grandchildren, Jane, Nathan, Chloe, Ty, Maia, Paige, Brandon, Kaleb, Anthony and Austin; dear brother, Frank (Kathy – Deceased) Holiday and sister, Patricia (Richard) Muzik.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020, 10:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Church 606 East Washington Street, Medina, Ohio. Burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery.
