James H. Novak passed away on August 2, 2013 surrounded by his family at Falling Waters in Strongsville, OH He was born September 25, 1927 in Cleveland, OH to George and Anna (nee Ptak) Novak.
James was a U. S. Navy veteran of WW II. He was a truck driver for Famous Supply for over 30 years and a member of workers Local 436. He retired in 1989. He was a streetcar driver in Cleveland. James was also the past president and vice-president of Brunswick Entertainment Company. James enjoyed model trains and streetcars. He was a stock car fanatic.
He will be dearly missed by his sons, Michael (Cheryl) Novak of Brunswick, Kevin (Sherry) Novak of Brookpark, and Craig Novak of Cleveland; sisters, Rosalie (Gerald-deceased)Hill of Brunswick, and Mary Ann (Ken) Shrembeck of N. Royalton; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anntionette (nee Renick), brothers George of Claremont, FL and Tommy Novak; sister Irene Houghtlin of Berea and parents.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Carlson Funeral Home, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick. Funeral Services will be held at Carlson Funeral Home on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10:00am followed by burial at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens cemetery in Brunswick.
