JAMES E. SCHWANDT

James E. Schwandt, age 89, of Medina, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, Thursday, July 18, 2019. He was born on August 24, 1929, in Cleveland, OH to the late Elmer and Ina May (nee Moore) Schwandt.
James enjoyed Bluegrass and birdwatching. He read everything and anything he could get his hands on.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 71 years, Dorothy (nee Booher) Schwandt; children, Linda (Peter) Rode, Les (Liz), Jeff (Jolyn), and Steve (Diane) Schwandt; grandchildren, Kristen (Thomas) Dunivan, Kevin (Amber) Rode, Bonnie (Toshi) Saigusa, and James, Michelle, Dane, Jacob, Joshua & Johnny Schwandt; great-grandchildren, Connor & Caden Dunivan, Peter Rode, Julianna, Jadyn & Jessie Saigusa, Lexi & Elli Schwandt.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William and granddaughter, Jenny.
The family has chosen to inter James at a later date at Harvey’s Point Cemetery in Marion County, Illinois. Funeral arrangements for James have been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
