Jamie McCann, age 94, of Brunswick, passed away on October 28, 2014. She was born on November 3, 1919 in San Francisco, California to James and Gertrude (nee Clancy) Tracy.
She worked for the Brunswick Schools for over 30 years and was the first secretary at Kidder Elementary when it opened in 1957. Her smiling face always brought cheer to those she met. She also worked at the North House as secretary prior to Kidder’s opening. She enjoyed golfing and was an avid bowler. Jamie was a member of the St. Ambrose funeral choir and the Brunswick VFW Post 9520 Ladies Auxiliary.
Jamie will be dearly missed by her beloved children, Barbara Buettner, Judith Rowan; grandchildren, James (Trish) Buettner, John Buettner, Sandra (Randy) Donato; great grandchildren, Rachel Stoskopf, A.J. Buettner, Alex Donato, Abbey Donato.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry.
A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 9:30 AM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio 44212.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Emerald Village Retirement Community. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Hospice, 6707 State Rd, Parma, Ohio 44134.
