Janet L. Barstow, 79, of Garrettsville, passed away at her residence on Monday, November 10, 2014. She was born May 5, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio to Donald L. and Edna M. (Ferguson) Wyatt. Janet was a librarian at Garfield schools. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Eagles Club. She enjoyed reading, needlework, garage sales and especially game night with the family.

Janet is survived by her children, Barbara Jean (Ted) Hrobak, and Fred Barstow, all of Garrettsville and Jody L. Barstow of Louisiana; grandchildren, Jennifer, Kathleen, Lacey, Aaron, Jacob and Levi.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frederick; son, Donald; and sister, Helen Salinger.

Calling hours are 2-4 on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio where A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 PM on Saturday with Rev. Fred Bell officiating. The family requests memorial contributions in Janet’s name be made to the Portage County Animal Protective League, PO Box 927, Ravenna, Ohio 44266.
