Janet J. Smotek, age 79, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at her Western Reserve Masonic residence. She previously resided in Maple Heights, Ohio. She was born on February 14, 1938 in Cleveland. Janet retired in 1989 from The Ohio Bell Communications as an Executive Secretary. She and Bruce Karley were married in Las Vegas on July 14, 1996.
She leaves behind her husband, Bruce; stepchildren, Chris and Joy; and sisters, Marylee Smotek and Lillian Cook.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Louis and Annie Smotek and sister, Anne Meyer.
In honoring her last wishes, no visitation or service were held. Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio 44256 were entrusted with arrangements.
