JANICE V. BROCKLEHURST

Janice Virginia Brocklehurst (Gabel) age 82 of Medina, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020.

Janice was born in St. Clairsville, Ohio on May 4, 1938 to the late Emmett E. and Jennie L. Gabel (nee Shepherd). She married John (Jack) Arthur Brocklehurst Jr. on October 18, 1958.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting and card making. She was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Janice enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events, plays and music concerts. She was a Sunday school teacher, Brownie leader and room mother. Janice was a dog lover, especially the Pomeranian breed. She was an avid Precious Moments collector. Janice especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

Janice retired from the City of Middleburg Heights where she was a legal secretary in the law department.

She leaves behind her loving children, Ken (Kathleen-deceased), Sherri (Mike) Menoes, Steve (Lydia); her cherished grandchildren, Lauren (Ronnie) Stout, Jared, Amanda (Andrew) Brimm, Brooke (Chris) Howell; great grandchildren Broxson, Payton, Luke, Nora, Oliver and Wyatt; her dear siblings Ken (Georgia), Jim (Rhonda), Joanie (Rob) and many nieces and nephews.

Janice is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Jack (1990) and her daughter-in-law Kathleen.

Family will receive friends for Janice on Friday, November 6, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio (Corner of Rt 18 and River Styx). Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44142.
