Jana Marie Bomboris (Lutton), beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on December 31, 2024. Born on July 5, 1939, in Bell Vernon, Pennsylvania, she moved to Medina, Ohio, over 60 years ago, where she became a cherished member of the community.
Jana was the loving wife of Richard Bomboris, who survives her. She was previously married to the late Donald Leymone Taylor, with whom she shared a family and created many lasting memories. Jana was the proud mother of six children: James (Jim) Taylor (who preceded her in death, with wife Tammie and children Robert, Amber, and Andy), Terry Taylor (wife Mary, children Michael and Cathy), Donald Taylor (daughter Jenny), Robert (Bob) Taylor, Jack Taylor (daughter Tiffani), and Carl Taylor (wife Donna, children Donald and Caitlyn). Additionally, Jana was a devoted stepmother to Richard (Richie) Bomboris (wife Chaundra, daughter Summer), Melissa Minks (husband Terry, children Samantha and Dylan), Larry Bomboris (wife Vonda, children Larry and Gabrielle), and Danny Bomboris (daughters Rushelle, Jamie, and son Michael).
She was blessed with numerous great-grandchildren, including Trenton, RJ, Valentina, Charlie, Ryan, Christina, Cameron, Calvin, and Cashton. Her love, guidance, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew her.
Jana was a huge fan of the Cleveland Guardians and took great joy in following their games, often cheering for her team with passion and enthusiasm. She also had a deep love for her two cats, Fluffy and Noel, who brought her comfort and companionship over the years.
Jana was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Thelma Lutton, as well as her beloved sisters Betty Allinder and Carol Campbell, and her dear brother Jim Lutton. She is survived by her sister Ellen Fertall, her sister Georgann Konkol, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Known for her warm heart, kind spirit, and ability to make those around her feel loved and special, Jana’s strength, grace, and sense of humor will be deeply missed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this time.
