JAYNIE M. CUSICK

Jaynie Marie Cusick was a beloved grandmother to three girls, mother to four, aunt to three, sister, wife, and partner. Jaynie recently celebrated her 79th Birthday with family and friends. She passed away peacefully on the morning of 21 February 2024.

Jaynie is survived by her three children, Annette Cusick, Colleen Gasparini, and Renee Strictland, with James Cusick as well as her long-term, loved life partner M. Jack Recht. Jaynie is also survived by her loving sister Judy.

Jaynie was born on 4 February 1945. Shortly after high school, Jaynie wed James Dennis Cusick, her high school sweetheart. They had four children. After the tragic loss of her husband in 1988 Jaynie later found another love of her life, M. Jack Recht. Jack and Jaynie spent over 30 years enjoying life to its fullest in Florida and Ohio where much of their family lived.

Jaynie had impeccable taste in fashion, enjoyed sewing, golfing, and of course cooking large Italian meals with secret recipes. Jaynie also found time to acquire an associate degree in business and real estate. She had a very keen sense of real estate investment. Jack and Jaynie enjoyed estate sales as well as adventuring throughout Ohio and Florida. Another great love they both shared was house hunting and real estate. Shortly before she passed, Jack and Jaynie finally found the home of their dreams. Although Jaynie was not able to enjoy her new home to her it was more about the hunt.

She will be forever missed but not forgotten.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 26, 2024, at Carlson Funeral Home and Cremation Services Medina, 3477 Medina Rd. Medina Ohio 44256 (Corner of Rt. 18 and River Styx) from 10am to 12pm with services to follow at 12pm.  A burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery on Brookpark Rd. Brookpark, Ohio.
