Jeffrey Martin Owen, age 64, of Brunswick, passed away March 11, 2017. He was born August 13, 1952 in Cleveland to the late Warren and Mary Jane (nee Antolik) Owen.
Jeff proudly served his country in the United States Navy, retiring after 28 years. Jeff belonged to The Cleveland Petty Officers Association. He was a member of the Brunswick American Legion Post # 234 and The Medina VFW Post # 5137. Jeff was also a member of The Parma Elks Lodge # 1938, The Fleet Reserve Association of Cleveland, and The Cleveland Darter Club. He especially cherished his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Catherine (nee Hollo); children, Michelle (Patrick) Fahey, Serena (Thomas) Gerfy, Thea (Geoffrey Twardzik) Owen; grandchildren, Amber, Alexis, Joseph, Warren, John, Kyle, Carragh; siblings, Kathleen Owen, Robert (Laura), Jane Owen; many nieces and nephews; and countless veteran comrades and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Deborah Powers.
Friends may join the family for visitation Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 2 until 4 pm and 6 until 8 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick, OH 44212. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212. There will be a visitation one hour prior to Mass at 9 am (Please meet at the church). Inurnment will take place on a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
