Jerome Michael Minnick

Jerome Michael Minnick, 72 of Garrettsville, Ohio died Monday, January 28, 2013 at his residence. He was born August 19, 1940 in Cleveland, OH , the son of Michael and Agnes (Kozuba) Minnick. Jerome lived in Garrettsville all his life and attended the local schools. He was a 1958 graduate of James H. Garfield, attended John Carroll University, and worked at the former local Western Auto Store. Jerome was a lifetime member of St. Ambrose Church in Garrettsville and was an altar boy, serving Mass for many years. He loved playing sports and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. Fond memories of Jerome will be cherished by his sister, Marie “Mary Jo” (Larry) Stiffler of Newton Falls, OH; niece, Michele and her daughter, Jennifer Adair of Akron, OH; nephews, Terry M. (Karla) Stiffler of Henderson, Nevada, And Cletis Stiffler (fiancée, Billie Shepherd) and daughters, Mekala and Mekenzie Stiffler of Columbus, Ohio and niece, Josanne (Mark) Bodo and children, Derek, Anna, Ethan and Lara Bodo of Mineral Ridge. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be 9-10 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8282 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 10692 Freedom St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Garrettsville.
