JEROME A. VAN OSS

Jerome Van Oss, 79, of Nelson Township, joined his Lord and Savior with his loving family by his side Thursday, September 23, 2021. He was born November 24, 1941 in Marion, OH to the late Hilarious and Cecilia (nee Reis) Van Oss.

He was a graduate of Hoban High School in Akron, and he worked and retired from Diamond Chrysler in Twinsburg. Throughout his life, Jerry enjoyed working on the farm and playing cards. He had a passion for providing for his family, and loved the Lord with all his heart.

Jerry will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Lauraine (nee Reney), with whom he was blessed to share 36 years of marriage; children, Katherine (John) Bruyere, Kenneth (Kristen) Van Oss, Daniel (Julie) Van Oss, Sarah (Greg) Smith, Hillary (Cody) Snyder, David (Christine) Van Oss, and Amanda Wilson; 20 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, John "Jack" Van Oss, James "Father Jim" Van Oss, and Jeffrey (Carol) Van Oss, as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eugene Van Oss and Joseph "Pat" Van Oss; sisters-in-laws, Marianne, Rosa, and Louise.

Please join the family to honor Jerry's life for a Memorial Visitation Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at The Fountain Church of God 12888 State Route 88, Garrettsville, OH, 44231, Rev. Kevin Crouch officiating. The Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 PM, also at the church. A Graveside Service will immediately follow at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville, OH.
