James E. Sexton, age 72, of Brunswick, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Cleveland Clinic, Main Campus.
He was born on November 29, 1948 in Marion, VA to the late James Edward and Artie May (nee Woodards) Sexton.
Jim was employed at Yellow Freight until his retirement in 2012 after 40+ years as an over-the-road driver. He was a member of the Truck Driver Local #407. After his retirement, Jim became a "chauffer" and father figure for his 3 adored grandchildren.
He was a lover of animals, especially his dog Tede, which he adopted from a cocker spaniel rescue. Jim was active with animal protection organizations but he especially loved spending time with his life-long soulmate Irene. Friends and family were especially important to Jim, he particularly enjoyed out of town guests.
Jim will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Irene; dear children, Teresa and Danielle; and beloved grandchildren, Justin, Emilie and Cameron.

The family will receive friends for Jim on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick (1/2 mile south of Route 303). Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick. (MEET AT THE CHURCH).
