Jimmie Cook, age 83, of Wellington, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at University Hospital, Elyria Medical Center.
He was born on May 22, 1935 in Lincoln City, WVA. Jimmie was retired after 25 years from Ford Motor Company and was also retired after 22 years from NAPA in Wellington, where he was a delivery driver. He was a member of the UAW #1250.
Jimmie enjoyed hanging out in John’s pole barn, hunting and fishing. In his earlier years, he enjoyed riding his four- wheeler.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Stella (nee Watts); loving children, Rita McMillan, son-in-law John McMillan and Ricky (Pamela) Cook; dear grandchildren, John (Donna) McMillan, Danielle (Michael) Depaolis, Richard Cook, Timothy Cook, Joseph Cook; great- grandchildren, David McMillan, Cayla and Madison Depaolis, (twins) Skylar and Julia Cook, Kaylee and Lauren Cook, and Blake and Sophia Cook; cherished great- great grandchildren, Jensen and Sullivan Depaolis.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary, children, Rebecca and Rocky and two brothers.
The family entrusted The Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick.
