Joan Hanzel (Dailey) 70, of Twinsburg, OH, entered into the kingdom of heaven on February 21, 2024 after a quick and courageous battle with metastatic melanoma.
She was born on October 28, 1953 in Cleveland, OH, to the late Vernon and Emma (Shaw) Dailey. Joan spent her years, after retiring from JCPenney, doing all the things she loved including caring for her husband, decorating for every holiday/season, cross stitch and keeping her lawn HGTV worthy.
Joan will lovingly be remembered by her sister, Diane Say; nephews, Don (Robi) Peters, Paul Jones, Richard (Tambra) Say; nieces, Jennifer (Mike) Swank, Debbie (Ray) Lance, Dawn (Paul) Gummo; countless other family, and special friends that saw her through these last few weeks with visits, calls, flowers and prayers. Joan was a beacon of light and joy in the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy will continue to live on through her family, friends, and all the lives she touched.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank, and sisters, Linda Jones and Beverly Peters.
Special thanks to the Euclid Hospice of Western Reserve, especially nurse Sherron, for all their help and support in her last few days. She devoted her life to caring for others and the family appreciates the dignified and loving care she received from them.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
