Joan Sams (nee McGlothlin), age 92, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 in Medina, Ohio. She was born October 20, 1930 in Spencer, West Virginia to Earl and Geraldine McGlothlin.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Joan loved gardening and being outdoors at her home in Westfield Center where she resided for 60 years. She was an avid animal lover and sports fan. She could often be spotted in the stands at her grandchildren's athletic events.
Joan will be dearly missed by her daughters; Julie (Bill) Burke, and Stephanie Greive, grandchildren; Garett (Jen) Greive, Lauren (Aaron) Devere, and Taylor (Robert) Gilman; Great grandchildren, Brianna Greive, Burke and Rory Devere and Mackenzie Gilman.
She was preceded in death and is reunited with Arthur, her husband of 59 years.
A private service will be held at a later date in Ocean Reef, Key Largo, Florida.
