JOAN SHAYES

Joan Lee (Skidmore) Shayes, born January 22, 1932, passed from this life on June 12, 2024.

Joan lived in the Coventry and Portage Lakes area most of her adult life. She loved flowers, puzzle books, shopping, and going out to breakfast. There wasn't anyone she wouldn't help or talk to.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years: Vernon; children: Susan and Terry; and brother: Raymond.

She is survived by her children: Kathy (Tim) Grubbs, and Eileen (Mike) Scarberry; grandchildren: Robin (Mike) McGinness, Mike Criss, Kelly Shayes, Casey (Thomas) Lirette, and Ryan Shayes; great-grandchildren, Blake (Demi) Greene, Jake (Sa) Greene, Logan Travis, Lexi Lamb, and Ciara Criss; brother: James Skidmore; and nieces: Joy and Jill and their families.

Joan was an amazing human, loved by all, and will be missed dearly.

Cremation will take place and there will be no services. Care for Joan was entrusted to Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Rd., Medina, OH 44256.
