JOAN H. WEBER

Joan H. Weber, nee Henderson, 85, formerly of Garrettsville, passed away in Stow, Ohio on August 14, 2016. She was born in Akron, Ohio on March 12, 1931 to Dr. John and Nana (Farmer) Henderson. Joan graduated from Our Lady of the Elms and from the University of Akron, where she obtained her teaching degree. She taught for many years at Smith Elementary in Akron, Ohio.

Joan married William A. Weber on December 31, 1975. They enjoyed over thirty years of marriage before he preceded her in death. Joan was an accomplished seamstress, designing many of her clothes. She received many accolades and various awards for her volunteer work for the Kent State University Fashion Museum.

In honor of Joan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Graveside Service to be held on August 27, 2016 at 10:30 AM in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2569 Romig Rd #301 Akron, Ohio 44320. Memorials may be made to the Kent State Fashion Museum.
