JOANNE L GELB

Joanne L. Gelb, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, February 4, 2018. She was born on February 28, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio to Lawrence and Lauretta (nee Offs) Kocab.

Joanne was employed with the Highland Schools as a Cafeteria attendant for 22 years. She loved to stop at garage sales, she enjoyed shopping, desserts, working in the garden, also baking, doing crafts and crocheting. Most of all Joanne loved her family.


Joanne is survived by her husband of 57 years, Nelson; son Danny; daughters, Patty Bilinovich and Shari Walter; grandchildren; Sarah, Brian (Katie), Hannah, Seth, Riley and Carly; brothers, Ron (Sandy) Kocab and Dennis (Diane) Kocab also sister, Lenore (Bill) Thomas. She also will be missed by her four legged girls, Maggie and Gabby.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may join the family for Visitation on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 3 to 5 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of Rt. 18 and River Styx Road), Medina, OH 44256. Funeral Service to follow at 5 PM. Burial of her cremains will be private at a later date in Granger Fairview Cemetery.
