On May 13, 2022, with her children at her side, Joanne took the hand of her beloved husband, George F. Lemmerman Jr. as he led her to paradise. She was born on November 24, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joseph and Edna (nee Burberry) Horak.
Joanne married the love of her life on January 10, 1959 with 54 years of happiness. Together, they are survived by their five children: Justine (Tom) Berg-Ferguson, George (Linda), Jillene (Jolie Jesensky), Gerald (Patrizia), and Gene (Kimberly), and previous daughter-in-law Donetta Maczko, and seven beautiful grandchildren: Lindsey (Jeff) Fade, Chad (Eryn), Brittany, Brandon, Gabriella, Angelo, and Katelynd Berg, and two step grandchildren Nathan (Karen) and Bryan Rao, Great Gigi of Lorelei, Carsen, Brystol, Owen, and Hunter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Doris (James) Blair.
Joanne was an avid Cleveland Indians/Guardians and Cleveland Browns fan, Den mother to Pack 3516, District Commissioner for Chippewa Council Cub Scouts, Eucharistic Minister at St. Colette, and Our Lady of Help Christians (Seville), and Commissioner of Men's Softball Leagues in Strongsville, Ohio.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 4-8 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Rd (Corner of Rt. 18 and River Styx) Medina, Ohio 44256. Joanne will be laid to rest on Thursday, May 19, processing from the Funeral Home at 11:00 am, to Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Brunswick, Ohio.
