JOANNE JULIA NYOMO

Joanne Julia Nyomo, age 83, passed away on August 2, 2024. She was born on September 16, 1940, to the late Julia (nee Ehasz) and William French.

In addition to her parents, she is reunited in death by her husband of 40 year, Robert Nyomo. She is also preceded in death by her dearly missed grandson, Jamie Blankenship.

She is survived by her brother William French, daughters, Robin Nyomo (Bob Archer) and Cyndi (Ron) Scott; her grandchildren, Derrik (Kelly) Nyomo, Mande (Jamie) Blankenship, Jeremey (Jeana) Nyomo, Ronnie (Stoni) Scott; and great-grandchildren, Faith, Kylar, Syrus, Seth, RJ, Kellen, Waylon, Kaisley, Eli and Tori.

Joanne was the epitome of love and dedication to her family. As a mother and grandmother, she found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially when they involved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her home was always filled with laughter and warmth, as she cherished every moment spent in the presence of her family.

Joanne’s generosity and ability to bring people together were unparalleled. She loved hosting gatherings and spending time with her long time childhood friends and her extended Ford Motor family.

Some of Joanne's favorite activities included bowling, going to the casino, and playing bingo. Her enthusiasm for life was contagious, whether she was knocking down pins or enjoying a simple game with friends.

join the family for visitation on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Medina, 3477 Medina Rd. Medina, Ohio 44256 (Corner of RT. 18 and River Styx). Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the service at 11:00 am which is also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest along side her husband.
