JOHN EVAN

August 12, 1932 — January 15, 2011

John Evan, 78 of Brunswick passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2011 in Parma, Ohio. He was born August 12, 1932 in Trebisov, Czechoslovakia to Joseph and Mary (nee Vachal) Evan.

Mr. Evan was a United States Army veteran where he served as Staff Sergeant in the Armored Calvary. John also served in the Korean War and earned the Bronze Service Star. He was a lifetime member of the N.R.A. and a member of the South Cuyahoga Sportsmans Association. He enjoyed his target shooting and loved his family very much.

Mr. Evan is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Carol (nee Brown) Evan of Brunswick Hills Township; his son Mark Evan of Brunswick Hills Township and his sisters Mary Danchak of Strongsville and Kathleen Redner of South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers-in-law George Danchak and Larry Redner.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Ambrose Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick with Father Bob Stec officiating. PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Valley City, Ohio.
