JOHN HOUGHTON

Photo: Obituary: John Houghton, 61 of Sharon Township, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013. He was born December 8, 1951 in Barberton, Ohio to Charles and Theo (nee Franklin) Houghton. John married Christine (nee Flaker) and celebrated 40 years together. He loved his family. He was proud of his accomplishment of being a respected Architect designing the new Holy Martyrs Church addition and many other notable buildings and structures in North East Ohio and Colorado. John was on the Zoning Appeals Board for Sharon Township, and a member of Rustic Hills Country Club. He loved going to the club to play cards with his Canasta buddies. John also was an avid Cleveland sports fan. He will be missed by his wife, sons; Jason and Nicholaus, grandchild Jonathon, mother, sister; Linda (Jay) Barkey, twin brother Thomas (Carol) and sister Joan (Mike) Walters, and many cherished family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and Ray Petit. Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 5 to 7 PM at Rustic Hills Country Club 5399 River Styx Road Medina, Ohio.
