Photo: Obituary: John A. Knittel, 75 of Medina passed away at Hospice of Medina County on December 7, 2012. He fought a courageous battle against Cancer for 23 years. John was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Frank and Viola (nee Jacobs) on May 5, 1937. He loved the ocean, his cats, reading and his family. John was employed at Harco/Corrpro Company as an Engineer. He will be missed by his beloved wife Betty (nee Turner), sons; John (Kara), and John (Annamarie), daughter; Deborah (Art) Porrello, 5 grandchildren; Liam John, Angela, Steven, Alyssa and Samuel. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Frank and sister Nancy Gallagher. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 3 to 8 PM, with the rosary being recited at 7:30 at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 3477 Medina Road corner of River Styx and Rt. 18) Medina, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish 9608 Norwalk Rd. Litchfield, Ohio at 11 AM on Monday, December 10, 2012. (PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH).
