John P. Pafford

Photo: Obituary: John P. Pafford age 90, formerly of Brunswick, left this world to be with his heavenly Father, on Wednesday January 2, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Big Sandy, Tennessee to Pheo and Lila Mae (nee Hoffman) Pafford. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army, worked for GM for 33 years, and was a charter member of UAW Local 1005. He was a former member of Bethel Temple and ClearView Church. John is survived by his wife JoAnn (Fetterman-Heckman) Pafford, his children Aleeta (Mervin) Dunn, Rev. Everette (Elke) Pafford and Michelle (Gary) McPherson; sisters Delma Ristway and Imogene Merrell; daughter in law Deborah Pafford; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives Viola (Hitschler) Pafford and Dale (Boardman) Pafford; son James Pafford and sister Marie Thomas. Friends may join the family for Visitation on Sunday January 6, 2013 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Rd., Medina, Ohio 44256. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday January 7 at 10AM with Rev James Hurst officiating, with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Interment to follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick.
