John T. "Ted" Shultz of Medina, Ohio passed away on September 10, 2017. Ted, a native of
Pittsburgh, is survived by his wife of 66 years Betty Jane Farquhar Shultz, their daughters
Cynthia Rae Schnabel (Paul) of St. Louis and Sally Louise Tripson (John) of Pittsburgh and four grandchildren: Eric Tripson of Pittsburgh, Jamie Tripson Griffith (Sean) of Morgantown, West Virginia, Julie Louise Schnabel of Oakland, California and Samuel McHugh Schnabel of Bend, Oregon. Ted was a graduate of Carnegie Mellon where he earned a double engineering degree (Metallurgical and Chemical) following his military service in the Army. He was devoted to his family and especially his grandchildren, taking great pleasure in teaching them about the wonders of the natural world.

Donations honoring his memory may be sent to Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Rd.,

His family hopes that if you lift a glass tonight in his honor you'll make it a vodka martini on the rocks, with a twist, Ted's favorite.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Rd., Medina, Ohio 44256.
