John “Jack” Warrington Jr., age 87 of Akron, Ohio, passed away at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital on Wednesday, April 6, 2016. He was born on October 31, 1928 in Amsterdam, Ohio to John and Pearl (nee Drabik) Warrington. Jack was a Veteran of the United States Army. He retired after 35 years as Marketing Manager with Ohio Bell.
Jack loved his family and spending leisure time at his grandchildren’s sporting events, playing golf and poker. He enjoyed staying at his daughter’s cabin in Idaho, trips to Las Vegas, and cruising on his motorcycle. He was a member of Ohio Bell Foreman’s Club. Jack also was known for making homemade Cherry Brandy; aka Daddy Jack’s Red Pop.
Jack will be dearly missed by his daughters; Cindi (Michael) Romans, Michelle (Robert) Wasik, son, John (Alayna), his treasured grandchildren; Benjamin (Heather) and Nicholas Romans, Amanda (Hassan) Al-Shawaf, Alexandra and Steele Wasik, Sarah, Andrew, and Alyssa Warrington, his great-grandchildren; Dominic, Samuel and Jacob, and his special loyal companion, his dachshund, Fortsee.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, wife Adelaide, daughter Laura and siblings; Joseph Warrington and Genevieve Webb.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 10 to 11 AM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio 44256. Funeral Service to follow at 11 AM with Pastor Adam Romans officiating at the funeral home. Inurnment at a later date in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
