JOHN A. YATSON

John A. Yatson, age 83, of Brunswick, passed away November 12, 2017. He was born June 13, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Stephen and Patricia (nee Hussey) Yatson.

John was a member of The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18. He enjoyed family gatherings and outings, loved life, and helping people. Some of John’s favorite pastimes included flying planes, boating, and travelling inside and outside of the United States, especially visiting the beaches. He was a friend of Bill W. for 27 years.

He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 62 years, Dora (nee Getz); children, John E. (Jaclynn), Doreen (Thomas) Doran, Robert (Karen); grandchildren, Nicole, Kyle (Lori), Kristen (Kevin), Kristin, Sarah (Matt), Erin, Tommy; great grandchildren, Hailey, Brendan, Kaitlyn, Kellen, Aiden, Kent, Charlotte, Emily; siblings, Jimmy (Elizabeth), Sally Moran; sister-in-law, Noreen; brother-in-law, Thomas M. Donahue; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Steven and Richard; granddaughter, Rachel; and brother-in-law, Donald.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, 2486 W 14th St, Cleveland, OH 44113. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Cremation will take place according to John’s wishes.
