Joseph C. Benson, 89 of Brunswick passed away on Monday, March 28, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 16, 1921 in Bruceston Mills, West Virginia to Robert Thomas and Mary Pearl (nee Everly) Benson.
He was a Core fitter for Ford Motor Company before retiring after 30 years of service, a member of the UAW, and a United States Navy Veteran serving in WWII.
Beloved husband of Rosalee (nee Dewitt) Benson for 69 years; devoted father of Joann (Harry) Estep, Johnny (deceased), Georgia (Thomas) McNeeley, Patty (James) Lipcsey, and RoseAnn Benson (deceased); grandfather of 11; great-grandfather of 22, and great-great-grandfather of 11; uncle and friend to many.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Medina County, 797 N. Court Street, Medina, Ohio 44256.
